This is my old printer. I removed the printer hardware and put PC hardware into it. Now itīs a Celeron 333@500 on an ASUS P2B-F with 2GB SCSI HDD and SCSI CD-Rom, TNT2 graka and 10/100 NIC and 512MB Ram. It works fine as a LAN server but it doesnīt print anymore :(
This system is still a work in progress. Right now it contains a strange form factor board but and ATX power supply. Running a Pentium 166, 128 MB of SIMM RAM, 8 GB Seagate HD and a 2MB ATI video card. Obviously, this was made from spare parts. The light is from PCMods.com. Cold Cathode. The case took about three weeks to cut, paint, and install all of the parts. "The light of Christ shines through the darkness."
My 3rd mod, this time I wanted to make a briefcase mod that was a bit different then the usual briefcase mods. Well this is the result J plexi top with self made UT logo J Specs: Celeron 1100 w/Golden Orb, 512MB RAM, 40GB HDD, GeForce 256 64Mb DDR videocard.
A7V w/AMD 800 (has been OC'ed to 980MHz), 768MB RAM, 32MB Voodoo, 2x20GB Maxtor ATA-100, 3x1.2GB Western Digital back-up drives, 10/10/32 CDRW , 44x CD-ROM, 32x CD-ROM , SBLive!, 2x3Com 10/100 NIC, all run on Windows XP Pro. Now for the fun part, the case itself. This case started out as an at server case , it was gutted and hacked, then it had an atx backplane transplanted and tacked in. (gotta love power tools) There are 12 internal fans (10 4.5inch exaust@118cfm and 2 6 inch intake@ 185cfm), 2 power supplies (one 350w for the board , 1 250w for the fans) The internal fans are connected to separate toggles. Interior lights care of string of neon blue chaser lights , toggled and a/c powered. With all the fans on, the temps for the cpu and board are 40-44c for the chip and 22-28 for the board. Relocated the additional usb ports (7 total) to the front panel for easy acces. Next project is a peltier cooled system or possible mechanical refrigeration.
