This here is my newest Case(mod). It's a Pentium-III 700 / Riva-TNT-1 / 64 MB RAM / RealTek 8029 10MBit NIC, 2x 540MB HDD on a micro-ATX board with onboard-sound. Enough for a Half-Life dedicated server with pings <10. No, i don't have heat problems! It all goes through the PSU and the 80mm Fan on the other side. Runs only when open, so no problem with the HDDs. This is really my first school backpack, it's eleven years old! Front pocket is useful for putting cables in it. A CD-ROM fits in, too, but no space to open it ;) - can also put an external HDD at the IDE cable which is in it. Extremely low weight plastic case!
I spent the last weeks of my summer with this project. It was my first case mod to do, and it turned out alright. I am still planning to do a custom airbrush painting on the other side of the case. I did all the wiring myself. There are 2 Terminal blocks, one 12v DC and one 120v AC, to make the wiring cleaner. I constructed the variable fan controller from parts. All I can say is, a dremel is a modders best friend.
Athlon 1.4GHz, ABIT KG7 mobo, 256 DDR memory, 60GB HDD, Gainward GeForce3 64 DDR @ 220/480, SoundBlaster Live! 5.1, Pioneer 16x DVD, Plextor 12/10/32a, Antec SX1030 black case, Klipsch ProMedia 2.1, 19" NEC FE950+(black). The mods I did are: Dragon Orb 3, window, 2 12" blue neons, 4 80mm enermax fans, blue case LEDS, painted the chassis gloss blue, neat wiring wrapped in blue electrical tape and blue loom. It's not done yet, I'm going laser cut an etch or Aspen Matthews (fathom, a comic book heroin) on the other side of the case.
