This is my first casemod version 1.0beta. In the final version the SCSI conector will be a redound yellow connector and a blue neon tube. Pentium III 450 @ 504MHz (112x4.5), 256MB SDRAM PC133@112 ,Seagate 40GB ATA66 ,Adaptec 2904 ,Ultraplex 40 max, Yamaha CRW2100S, SBLive! This is a case mod for a case gallery so I won't bother you with the specs on my comp. The case on the other hand is a modified early one-piece lidded ATX case. Window, fans galore (total of 8 more or less), neon, thermosensor tapped into the core (gotta love a 29 degree Celsius idle), handles for accessibility, and tons of other goodies, such as the modified grill in the front and wrapped wires for maximum airflow into the case. Switches control the neon and 120mm intake fan mounted in the window. Oh, and kids, its the Thundercats symbol on the side, and YES, it IS cut into the case as part of the window cut.
I got tired of the grey color of my computer and i decided to modify my case in to the same colors as the desk. Now it looks like its one complete set. Several people who came to visit had to look 2 times before they noticed it is the computer :-)
It is my first time to modify a case, and I enjoyed it very much, maybe it is not very impressively made but I feel very proud of it. At once a lot of ideas came to mind, and I will certainly continue modifying my comp.
"Experiment in Boredom Part II." Lots of Dynamat sound dampening material. Hammered metal paint job. Next on the list is a window, interior lights and something to control the voltage/sound of the fans.
AMD Duron 750MHz w/FOP32 cooler, MSI K7T Turbo mobo, 256MB SDRAM 133 Hitachi, CD-Rom 52x, CD-RW Ricoh 8125A, DVD Hitachi GD 7500, SB Live 1024, 2HDD 1xWD 13,6GB UATA 66, 1xWD 10GB UATA 100, SVGA MSI Ge-force2 MX, DVD Decoder Creative DX-R 3, UATA 100 Promise controller, Ethernet 10/100 PCI Micronet, TV Tuner Aims TV-Live, 300 Watt PS Herolchi (it rocks, better than Adtronics), 3x80mm fans (two back, one front), 2 hdd coolers (GlobalWin ION storm & GlobalWin King-Kong II), chipset cooler, etc... Sorry for the bad pictures, but i took them using my webcam. The modification is better than it appears so. The only thing that "needs to be done" is the window on the side cover.
This is a slightly modded Inwin Q500 case. T-Bird 1200 @ 1430MHz. KT7 RAID, 450 Enermax PS, GF2 MX (hehe), SBLive!, 10+13GB hard drive, 16X pioneer DVD, 12/10/32, Volcano 2 on core. 3 case fans, 2 suck, 1 blows. they are Comair-Rotron Muffin XL AC fans each do 115 CF/m (345 total) and are 50Db each (sooooo loud). The fans were free but the hole saw cost me 30$. Paint job is a lot worse than it looks, but at least it looks. Next time I use Tremclad.
Celeron II 566@850,Golden Orb, GeForce 2, and a bunch of other crap. Custom hidden drive bays. PC-Mods window kit, front 92mm intake w/ 92mm blowhole (will add window after purchase of new mobo). All cables rounded. Flush mounted temp gauge for monitoring CPU and case temps (right side). Blue neon on inside and blue leds (pictures don't show it very well).
This is my first case mod. That's a cold cathode light from PCMods.com. I have one 80mm Sunon up front, and one in the back. Also, a CoolerGuys Card Slot AMD ThunderBird 1.2GHz @ 1.33GHz w/Dragon Orb 3.
