This is my first mod. It started by drilling some holes in the side-panels. After that I could use a Dremel from a good friend. Then hell broke loose ;) I was unstoppable. I made an intake fan in the left side-panel and an outtake on the top. Both with 8x8 fans behind them. The final stage was painting the case and insirt the blue leds. Because I didn't want to paint my Plexwriter 16/10/40A (it was only a day old), I put that behind a panel (3rd 5.25" bay).Specs : AMD T-Bird 800 @ 960MHz, ASUS A7V, 70GB (3 drives 7200 U100), 384mb PC133 SDRAM, SBLive!, Logitech I-Feel Mouseman, Plex 40x, Plex 16/10/40, IIyama S701GT
This is my first PC mod! I painted it black-metallic, AMD logo on the right side and a S in Blood of Dracula on the top! Then I put a blue Neonlight on the side for the AMD logo in the night! Hardware : AMD Athlon 800 @ 900MHz, 256MB SDRAM PC-133, Hercules GeForce2 MX, 30GB WD, 52x LiteOn, Creative SoundBlaster PCI 512, TerraTec TV+, 4 sys fans, temperature controller on the front. I hope you like it!
This is my solution for air-cooling the ABIT BP6 with 366@572MHz 2.4V especially during the winter. Temps were below 25C running SETI@Home. The tube is made from Pepsi bottles. There is an actual ice layer on the tube on one of the pictures.
It's a 1.2GHz AMD Athlon with 256 MB of 2100 DDR RAM. The rest of the specs are on my site. I used a dremel on the logo and spraypaint for the outlines (used up tons of masking tape). The neon light is a sound sensitive Lightning Rod from PCmods.com.
This is my first mod. Nothing really special just a plexiglass window/door with two neon lights inside. The green neon is located on the side while the blue is located on the bottom. In the dark it really gives a cool effect. There is also a temperature lcd and an winamp lcd which I will be mounting in later. I also used a marble wallpaper to skin my tower.
It has 4 coats of paint on it that change from Blue, Green, Purple, Gold. It's called Dupont's Chromalusion paint with a black basecoat, primer, and a clearcoat.
Howdy BlueSmoke! We have another design to show off for you, this is the "Alien Nukem" design we have just released. If your hunting for a cool case, or want some modding tools then check out Alien Media at www.alienmedia.com.au/cases - Secure Online Store is now open :)
The sides and top made with Bullet-Proof Lexan. It glows bright blue through all the patterned holes (blacklight won't show in pictures). The side is easily because I mounted it on ball-bearing drawer slides. The silver thingy sitting on top is an Air Ionizer car accessory I adapted (eats dust like nobody's business). And my most cost effective mod, Vinyl Dryer Hose. I've ducted 3 fans onto my Heatsink with $1 worth of Dryer Hose.
Over 1000 CFMS and counting... This is my first try to mod my case. I used a metallic black as main colour and I got this nice effect with a marble effect spray. Inside is a Intel Pentium III 667 EB, 2 x 128MB PC133 RAM, Leadtek Winfast GeForce2 @ 240MHz Core. Seagate 20GB 7200rpm ATA-66, Maxtor 30GB 5400rpm ATA-66, 8x4x32x CDRW. Main fan is a 220v Papst, the others are just normal fans. Greetz from Germany!
This is my first case mod, its simple and nice. There is an TB 800 @ 1030 Mhz, ABit KT7-Raid (up to 2.01 Vcore), 256 MB Ram (infineon) and a GF2 MX in it. My next case mod will come soon :-) for more informations please go to my homepage.
It is based on the Ikea Nero drawer unit which cost £16 (around $25?). It houses a P3 850 on an ABIT BE6, modestly overclocked to 977MHz, 256MB RAM, GeForce2 vid card, dual boots Win2K + 95 etc. The grill over the front stops the cat getting in but the big fan sucks in loads of dust along with the air and I have to keep vacuum cleaning it :¬)
