Cutout is Chinese symbol for immortal (eternity). 15" lightning rod inside with gorb and spiral wrap. LCD is a Seiko 4021 attached to a wirz backpack. Display program was modified by myself from some of Uller's example code from LCDriver. Displays text you can type, date/time, mem free and CPU utilization, and pings an address you specify.
The case is an AOpen HX08, sprayed dark grey. Cooling is 2x 80mm intake fans, and 1 120mm chimney fan. USB ports are routed from the motherboard backplate to the front of the case, and additional USB ports fitted on the side of the case. Soundcard mic and headphone extensions are also routed round to the front. My CPU is a Duron 800 at 1G, graphics is a GeForce 2 GTS.p|-|34r /\/\y 1337 j1g54w 5k1llz!!
My first case mod - had enough off all the noise and made it go noiseless! In the case : P3 450 @ 598MHz, 256MB PC-133, ASUS 3800 TNT2 Ultra, SCSI HD, BURN, CD and two extra ATA-100 7200rpm total 80Gb + 7 fans (4 Papst low noise 80mm + 2 x 90mm and 1 x 60mm). My rig is an ABIT KA7 mainboard, running an Athon 950. ATI Radeon 64 MB DDR, and a SBLive! 5.1 platinum. I added the Live!Drive after the pix were taken It also has an 8X HP CDRW, and Creative 5X DVD. In addition to all of that it has 256MB of PC-133 memory and 6 cooling fans. Plus my pride and joy, an operational cigarette lighter.I did the paint and graphics in two afternoons.
This Enlight Mod is running an 800MHz Thunderbird on a ABIT KT7A-RAID MB. Followed up by a Voodoo 5 5500 AGP and Sound Blaster Live Platinum 5.1. It has a Fujitsu ATA/66 7200 rpm HD in a removable cooled docking station. Rounded blue ATA/100 cables on the HDD and 56x CDrom with matching floppy cable. Finishing out with a 15 inch blue sound sensitive light with a window kit, and temp readouts that monitor the CPU and system on display in the front.
Modding is guy-thing, but here is the proof that girls can do it too. This is Glow-In-The-Dark stars, made for bedroom roofs, but with superglue you can make the stars stick to anything ;P I did this all by myself, and even got in a fight because I didn't want any help. I just hope I don't have to change the CD-ROM soon! I'm all out of paint...This is my first modd, but not the last, my boyfriend is begging for me to paint his case =) The first picture is what it almost became, it looked cool. The second picture is the done case, in its natural habitat.
Still debating wether plain ol' beige or shaggified is better. With shag everything is stealthified, including the buttons, and feels nice to boot. Lighting courtesy of blue LEDs and all cables rounded and zipped.

Runs Windows 2K Pro, Windows XP, and Linux.
